REDÖG – Review-based expert survey on the didactic potential of economic thinking for analysing social challenges
Against the backdrop of profound social transformation processes and dynamic paradigm shifts in economics, the project identifies contemporary and educationally relevant economic thinking and translates it into subject-specific concepts for economic teaching and learning processes. These subject concepts are intended to help learners understand economic and social issues and problems from an economic perspective, classify them in overarching factual and contextual relationships, and evaluate alternative solutions. The aim is to contribute to enabling self-determined and socially responsible participation in the economy and society. The implementation will take place in three steps: a scoping review, an expert survey and a practical workshop.

• Scoping review of economic ways of thinking relevant to general education
• Publications on subject concepts for economic education
